Umbria

Le Cinciallegre agriturismo
This was once a tiny 13th-century hamlet on a crossroads. Fabrizio used to be an architect and his conversion of these old houses, near Gubbio, is inspired. In the cool, beamed living room, seats pull up around a 200-year-old wood-burning stove; there's lots of rustic furniture and a fine old dresser. The simple bedrooms have their own terraces and immaculate bathrooms. You can cook, but Cristina is a wonderful chef, serving country food and Umbrian wines, so you're likely to leave her to it. Fabrizio and Cristina are passionate about the environment, their lovely natural garden, and the 10 organic hectares full of wildlife. It's a peaceful spot, overlooking a valley, meadows and woods.

When we reached Cinciallegre's Hamlet last March, we realized that our holidays enquiry was right. We found a really nice site where the nature wilderness and a comfortable place meet togheter. We could walk along the trails all around and see a lot of wild animals. The care and the hospitality of the owners where another raison for us to remind Cinciallegre as one of the best target for a vacation in Umbria. Barbara and Kevin

we were on honey moon and we discovered this delightful corner on the mountaintop surrounding Gubbio. It was an incredible spot overlooking the valley. The owners where so nice and welcoming and we decided to stay here for 3 nights. The kitchen of Maria Christina is so good and her recipes are gorgeous. We leaved Cinciallegre with the secret will to come back on our next trip to Italy. We will never forget the two nice big black dogs that are the landmark of this incredible place. michael and debby walkers

Jules& Sabrine
